It was pushed by my curiosity to complete my previous post, I started googling and wondering who is James Lane Allen. Allen was He was born Allen was born near Kentucky, December 21, 1849. He graduated from Transylvania University in 1872, delivering the Salutatorian address in Latin. In 1893 Allen moved to New York City, where he lived until his death in February 18, 1925. He was a contributor to Harper’s Magazine, The Atlantic Monthly, and other popular magazines of the time. Allen has been described as “Kentucky’s first important novelist.” Some of his works could be found in here. In my personal opinion, these following quotes which had been created, were so cool. I never read, at least, one of his writings. So, I don’t know from which book, essay or article and under what circumstances, these inspired words has been quoted. For me, number #4 is good. Later on, I knew many quotes were better. I ranked them from the coolest.

- He who has conquered doubt and fear has conquered failure. (hmm…interesting)
- Work joyfully and peacefully, knowing that right thoughts and right efforts will inevitably bring about right results.
- All that a man achieves and all that he fails to achieve is the direct result of his own thoughts. (My teacher said, “Think before act”).
- You cannot escape the results of your thoughts. Whatever your present environment may be, you will fall, remain or rise with your thoughts, your vision, your ideal. You will become as small as your controlling desire; as great as your dominant aspiration. (No idea, cool enough for #8). :p
- The vision that you glorify in your mind, the ideal that you enthrone in your heart - this you will build your life by, and this you will become.
